Cycling in town

The bank holiday weekend has been pretty amazing. I have not had a moment of displeasure. I learnt to ride my bike on Saturday, Sunday was Ama's sixth Bday, Monday was a nice lay in day so did a spot of shopping and headed of for a meal at Greedy Cow.

I havent been able to balance on the bike as easily as I had thought I would. But hey my knitting is getting good, considering I had no idea what I was making till it was done.

I watched ANTM and I love this picture of the winner

The GREAT thing is that I have spent a fantastic couple of weeks surrounded by amazing people learning new experiences along the way. That's been a really cool thing.Another really good thing is also that I am excited about becoming a "knitter". My late Gran could knit but I never got the chance to learn from her ... Then I went to colour conference and we were given knitting pins and wool as gifts. It's so preposterously weird to hear myself utter those words, but I like it and I find it very relaxing. And oh, here's one more blessing...I didn’t pay for classes God created an opportunity and I took it. Over the last year I have become more and more interested in knitting and cycling because I never learnt as a kid, and I am so excited to learn more. I have also noticed that a lot of people on the tube enjoy watching me knit too ... Curious people tend to smile at me a lot more and ask questioons.

Here's my first attempt at knitting....

I did a few random things ...some good others very naughty but above all I have learnt new things and I am very grateful to the amazing people the colour my world. I'm looking forward to my Austria trip coming up soon.

I even munched on snails in shells
